The 220 acre Friedsam Town Forest was a gift from the Friedsam family to the Town of Chesterfield.

FOREST

The 488 acres of the Madame Sherri Forest was generously donated for conservation to the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests by Ann Stokes.

An 80-acre woodland on the Gulf Road in Chesterfield, NH. James O'Neil, Sr. was an outstanding citizen and statesman serving both the town and the State of New Hampshire.

STATE PARK

Pisgah State Park includes over 13,500 acres (5695 in Chesterfield) of rough forested terrain encompassing a complete watershed north of the Pisgah State Park includes Ashuelot River.

MOUNTAIN STATE FOREST

Wantastiquet Mountain, 1335 feet high, is the predominant feature of the Wantastiquet Mountain State Forest.

MONADNOCK TRAIL

The Wantastiquet-Monadnock trail is a 50-mile hiking trail that links Brattleboro, VT to Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire.

GORGE

The Chesterfield Gorge Natural Area is located on Chesterfield, New Hampshire of Route 9.

SPOFFORD

LAKE

Spofford Lake is a Class A lake with excellent water clarity. The lake is 739 acres (1.1 square miles) in size with an average depth of 30 feet and maximum depth of 60+ feet.

The Otter Pond Forest is a beautiful natural area of woods, wetlands and wildlife. It consists of 134 acres along Old Swanzey Road near Pisgah State Park.

EVANS FARM EASEMENT

The Evans Farm Easement protects 37.5 acres of farmland, anchoring the gateway into town and helping to preserve an important part of Chesterfield’s character and feel.
